The hand-blown decanter carafe WOOD EDITION is made of high-quality crystal glass and has a base made of pear wood, which is cut, glued and hand-turned in Germany. Thanks to the harmonious unity between the wooden base and the glass, wine culture can be celebrated in a contemporary way with this high-quality glass carafe.
In order to bring out the structure of the pear tree wood to its best advantage, it should be treated with oil. This gives the surface a smooth sheen, which can be refreshed at any time by re-oiling (e.g. with linseed oil).
Instructions for freshening up the wood structure with oil
Apply the oil to the clean and dry wood surface with a cloth.
Spread the oil in the direction of the grain and massage in.
Leave the oil on for 15 to 20 minutes.
If necessary, it can now be oiled again.
Remove excess oil with a dry paper towel or rag.
For cleaning and maintaining the decanter, we recommend the EISCH cleaning pearls, the EISCH decanter dryer, which also easily dries hard-to-reach areas inside glass vessels, and the EISCH polishing cloth. We recommend hand washing this item.
