Daum unveils a new work of art with Laurence Bonnel, Tendresse, a refined, slender, stylized sculpture, which takes up the theme of the human and particularly that of the couple, central in his work.
“Know-how has always fascinated me. I opened a gallery in which I exhibit art furniture and works of which the main characteristic is the excellence of realization. The discovery of the workshops of Daum is part of this passion for these crafts. The special relationship, for more than a century, with the greatest artists of his time, registered at Daum, well before the other many luxury brands, a very strong link with Art. Crystal remained for me a fairly magical, mysterious material… When visiting the workshops, I realized that the work is quite close to that of the bronze foundry, while the material is the opposite: fragile and unpredictable . The sculptures, however in edition, each come to life differently, and become unique. Crystal, thanks to Daum's Know-How, gives a new meaning, a particular emotion, to my work.

About Laurence Bonnel
Born in 1976 in Paris, Laurence Bonnel discovered sculpture in 1998 after taking Art History and Literature courses, which revolve around the figure of the artist.
In Laurence Bonnel's works, the human figure holds an essential place. in particular, she creates architectural silhouettes, almost primitive, from which emanates a great presence. The motif of the human, that of the couples and that of the crowd, recurrent and central in his imagination, is refined until the formal stylization which immediately evokes the art of Giacometti or the cubist bodies of a Zadkine.
