“The Gorilla has been the subject of specific work on attitude and material. The polish of the silver back contrasts with the unstructured aspect of the arms, a magma of mechanical parts, screws, nuts. The color, shadows and flashes of light of the crystal highlight my delicate work. "

Daum, fervent support of the French artistic scene and deeply inscribed in the history of Nancy, initiates a new collaboration with the Nancy artist Jean-No. The famous House crystallizes the powerful gorillas of the artist. Initially works of iron and steel, they are transposed in crystal paste, in this fragile, soft material with subtle colors, and arouse a new emotion. The crystal factory, master of crystal paste, remains faithful to the artist's work, and unveils a masterpiece of a perfect re-interpretation of the rendering of the fusion of metals.

About  Jean-No

Jean-No is a sculptor from Lorraine. He lives and works near Nancy. In his workshop, he sculpts solid steel and assembles salvaged parts (screws, bolts) from which he makes spectacular creations, real iron lace. Jean-No's sculptures are imbued with a search for perfection and refinement of form in both his abstract and animal works. He works with precision on the fluidity of the line and constantly combines the fragile and the massive, the shadow and the light, the curve and the verticality. “The Gorilla has been the subject of specific work on attitude and material. The polish of the silver back contrasts with the unstructured aspect of the arms, a magma of mechanical parts, screws, nuts. The color, shadows and flashes of light of the crystal highlight my delicate work. »Daum, fervent support of the French artistic scene and deeply inscribed in the history of Nancy, initiates a new collaboration with the Nancy artist Jean-No. The famous House crystallizes the powerful gorillas of the artist. Initially works of iron and steel, they are transposed in crystal paste, in this fragile, soft material with subtle colors, and arouse a new emotion.
